Highlights of 2023
2023 is coming to an end and it has been a very exciting year at Boxon. Let’s go through the highlights of Boxon in 2023 before the new year.
Sustainability
In January, we were awarded Ecovadis Gold for our sustainability work in 2022, which means Boxon is among the top 5% of all companies evaluated. EcoVadis Gold is the recognition for Boxon’s great performance in Environment, Ethics, Labor & Human Rights and Sustainable Procurement.
In February, Boxon signed a letter of intent with the Swedish energy company Öresundskraft to purchase 1,000 tons of negative carbon dioxide emissions annually. Negative emissions can be used to compensate for climate emissions that are difficult to remove in any other way.
In March, we took further steps in our sustainability work and installed 2,400 square meters of solar cells at our warehouse in Helsingborg. It expected to provide approximately 450,000 kWh of electricity to the company each year, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by about 8% to 12% annually.
It is important for us to take our social responsibility and during the year we have sponsored: Handball against exclusion, Active School, Violence against Women and Operation Smile.
Innovation
In January, Boxon Oy’s Boxcor® Corrosion Prevention Box, won a Worldstar Award in the Electronics category.
In May, we launched our new graphical profile, which we implemented during the spring. We updated our colors, style and logo and chose black instead of red for the logo and highlighted the founding year 1932.
Customer experience
We are constantly working on getting better and during the year we continued our collaboration with Trustpilot. We also did our annual customer satisfaction survey. These tools help us get open and honest communication from our customers.
People
In 2022, Boxon turned 90 years old and due to COVID-19 epidemic we postponed the celebration to 2023. 12th to 13th May we celebrated this at Falkenberg Strandbad. Boxonites from all over the world came together and had two days of fun together.
With a long experience from our industry, Fredrik Ståhl took over as the new CEO in August. Both Fredrik and we are looking forward to the journey ahead for Boxon.
In November, our office in Germany won an award for being one of the most attractive workplaces.
Growth
During the autumn, we grew and opened our first office in Thailand, where the focus will be on innovative and sustainable packaging solutions in the region.
In November, Boxon A/S was awarded the prestigious Börsen Gazelle award. The award is given to 1% of the fastest growing companies in Denmark.
After an exciting year, we are now ready for 2024. We look forward to another year and want to thank you for this one.
