At Boxon, we continuously work on sustainability issues. We are aware of our responsibility as an internationally active company in the packaging industry. It is important for us to proactively drive and communicate socially and environmentally sustainable changes within the framework of our corporate responsibility.
In 2023, we have continued to work on our sustainability strategy with the following three cornerstones in focus:
● Sustainable packaging solutions
● Circular and climate neutral
● Fairness & equality
Our long-term sustainability agenda is reinforced by these cornerstones, and this will form the basis of the Boxon Group’s future plan for achieving our 2030 goals.

Our sustainability objectives - 2030
We have approved CO2e reduction goals from the independent organisation Science Based Targets Initiative. With this as a base we have set the following goals:
● NetZero (-50%)
By 2030 we shall reduce CO2e levels with 50% and we shall reach Net Zero emissions of green house gases latest 2050.
● Circular solutions (99%)
By 2030, 99% of our packaging solutions shall be fully circular according to one or several criterias: Reusable, Renewable Recycled, Recyclable and FSC certified when applicable
● Zero Waste( 0%)
By 2030, our operations shall have zero waste to landfill and incineration.
● DEI (Diversity Equality Inclusion)
We demonstrate committed to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion throughout our value chain.
UN Global Compact
We are a signatory to the UN Global Compact’s 10 principles on human rights, working conditions, the environment and anti-corruption, and we are committed to working towards the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition, we are committed to doing our part in reaching the Paris Agreement – limiting global warming to 1.5°C, compared to pre-industrial levels, which is why we have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
Commitment to Agenda 2030 and selected SDGs
Boxon is involved in the 17 SDGs and Agenda 2030. We have chosen to focus on SDGs that are important for our business and where Boxon can have a significant impact.
SDG 13 Climate action
We will reduce our CO₂e with the ambition of becoming climate neutral in accordance with the Science Based Targets.
SDG 12 Responsible consumption and production
More sustainable products and articles based on post-consumer recycled material.
SDG 15 Life on Land
Boxon’s ambition is to mobilise sustainable forestry together with our suppliers and customers by offering FSC certified products.
SDG 5 Gender Equality
Boxon works to achieve an even gender distribution and diversity at all levels of the company.
Code of Conduct
We have a Code of Conduct, which clearly describes the behaviour we expect from our employees and our business partners, and the results of our work are summarised in our Sustainability Report.

It is mandatory for all suppliers to commit to and sign our Code of Conduct, and the requirements for all suppliers are evaluated.
Certificates
We want to offer our customers full transparency. That’s why we provide you with a certificate that confirms that we comply with certain regulations. We undergo regular assessments in various areas, which are then certified by an independent third party organisation.
- We renew our ISO14001 and ISO9001 certifications on an annual basis.
- Every year, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) work is evaluated by Ecovadis.
- Of course, we also offer our customers product-related certificates such as REACH and RoHS.
- Choose our corrugated cardboard and wooden packaging that is FSC ® certified.
- A certificate shows that our website is CO2-neutral.
● ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
We are certified according to ISO 9001: 2015, to ensure that we consistently meet and optimise our high quality requirements.
Our environmental management system is certified in accordance with ISO 14001: 2015.
Our occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system is certified as conforming to the requirements of ISO 45001.
● Ecovadis
Every year Boxon’s sustainability work is evaluated by Ecovadis. The leading evaluation system considers aspects such as the environment, working conditions, business responsibility and ethics, as well as sustainable supply chain.
We were awarded EcoVadis Gold for our solid sustainability work throughout 2023.
● FSC®
When you buy FSC®-certified paper and corrugated board products, you are choosing considerate management of forest resources. Our corrugated cardboard packaging with FSC® certification shows that the raw material comes from sustainable forestry.
- 80% of Boxon’s sites are FSC chain of custody certified.
- 62% of all our sales come from products which are FSC certified.
